Food Guide

With the Food Guide, you have the most important information regarding almost all of the common food products in Europe at hand: and all this in text and pictures in many languages.

When you find fresh tarragon on the farmer's market, do you ask yourself, "What do I use this for?" Do you see "Banon" cheese on a blackboard at a shop or restaurant and want to know whether it is a raw milk cheese and from which type of milk it is produced? While looking at the menu in an Italian restaurant, do you find yourself wanting to know what type of fish a "Branzino" is?

To answer questions like these, you only need the Food Guide.

Publisher Michael Ditter and food journalist Ingeborg Pils now offer the Food Guide: a new form of consumer guide for food that includes translation assistance.

Multilingual Dictionary
The Food Guide contains the names of about 1,500 food products and ingredients (focusing on Europe) in English, German, French, Spanish and Italian, including scientific names.

When you enter in the name of the food product in one of the five given languages, you will get a short and precise description of the most important information regarding this product and its preparation or use in the kitchen. The text is accompanied by one or more photos per entry.
